About Achasta Pickleball
Achasta Pickleball is a community-driven resource dedicated to growing the sport of pickleball in Dahlonega, Georgia, Etowah, North Carolina, and the broader North Georgia and Western NC mountain region. Our mission is simple: to be the most comprehensive, helpful, and welcoming guide to pickleball for everyone in this area — from absolute beginners picking up a paddle for the first time to competitive players seeking technique refinement and tournament information.
Our Story
This site grew out of a genuine passion for pickleball and a recognition that players in the North Georgia mountains needed a dedicated local resource. While national sites like Places2Play and USA Pickleball provide broad court directories, there was no site that deeply covered the local pickleball scene in Dahlonega, the Etowah/Achasta community, and the surrounding mountain counties.
The Achasta community near Dahlonega — a private residential development along the scenic Chestatee River corridor — is home to active pickleball players who have helped build connections between the Georgia and North Carolina mountain pickleball communities. This site is an extension of that community spirit.

With the Chestatee River running through the property and the Blue Ridge foothills providing a spectacular backdrop, Achasta attracts residents who value both natural beauty and an active lifestyle.
Pickleball has become an integral part of life at Achasta and in the broader Dahlonega area.
